A night vision security camera provides clear images no matter what kind of lighting conditions it’s placed in.

A simple wireless security camera system takes hardly any time at all to install. All you have to do is pick the proper angles of surveillance and plug the camera into the receiver, which then transmits a feed to your DVR, television or computer.

You may be asking yourself if a night vision security camera is worth the cost. The answer is a resounding “Yes!” You can purchase a wireless security camera system that you use every day for a year for a cost that equals just a few dollars a week, if that. For the price of a magazine or a latte per week, you, your fellow coworkers, and/or your family can relax in knowing that all activity in any poorly lit areas is being monitored by a camera system.

Wireless security cameras come with a transmitter that sends a video signal to a receiver connected to a TV, VCR, computer, or other video equipment. One of the biggest differences between different models and costs is the range of the transmitter. The video can be recorded and/or watched live. Depending on the size of your home you may need multiple wireless security cameras. Normally the entry points into your home and property are standard locations, but other areas such as pools and play areas  are good places for video surveillance.

One advantage of wireless security cameras is they can be placed anywhere you want or need them. They are relatively easy to install. No need to drill and run wires through your home - apartment or yard or hire an electrician, the easy installation give you the option for hidden security cameras.

Security cameras can assist you in monitoring your children as they play near a pool, tree house, or in the yard. Wireless security camera systems can also provide surveillance of your pets as well to ensure their safety. The ability to know what’s happening in your home, even when you’re not right there to see it.

Before you invest in a security camera system, there are a couple of things to consider. Think about the area you want to watch. How many security cameras you need for this area? Are you focusing on the inside or outside security or both? If you want surveillance in one room, then you only need one surveillance camera with or without a DVR. More than one area normally requires a 2, 4, 6 cameras or more requiring a complete security camera system.

Security cameras come either wired or wireless, and the setup you need depends on where you want to put these cameras.  Do you want them visible? Wired surveillance cameras can be a little hard to install, with the wires hampering your attempts to be discreet. One benefit of wired security camera systems is normally they have a higher picture quality than the wireless camera systems.

What is a IP Network Security Camera?

A network IP security camera is a stand-alone surveillance camera that allows a user to view live, full motion video from anywhere on a computer network, even over the Internet around the world.

Security and surveillance camera systems started entering the digital surveillance age. CCD sensors digitize images captured by these surveillance cameras. But these images were still analog connected to VCR’s. Then the idea of DVR’s connecting directly to analog cameras, which made storing, retrieving surveillance video more efficient. PC’s were then used for display of the images through a modem or network connection to the DVR.

The security camera systems now have been digitized; with the new network security cameras have onboard processors and internet server software. These network cameras can be connected directly to existing IP networks, eliminating the coaxial cable networks. Surveillance images can be viewed anywhere with a web browser and the hard disk drive can record the this surveillance video.

Covert spy cameras have never been this easy to use. In the past hidden cameras needed tobe  connected to a VCR or DVD recorder to record what the camera sees. A hidden camera with a built in DVR it records to a removable SD card.

Just place the hidden camera where you want it, plug it in to an outlet, point it in the direction you want to film and press record or activate button. Then let your surveillance camera do the work. Some covert cameras will start recording with motion in the area it is viewing.  No rocket science degree required to install todays security cameras and systems.

You suspect that something happened, connect the covert spy camera up to a TV or computer monitor with the included cable. Or take the camera’s SD card and connect it to your computer. Another way to view the images is an external SD card reader.

As crime increases, people feel the need to increase security in their homes for their families and property. Home owners normally look for a security camera system. If this describes you, use these guidelines when making your selection.

    1.  Determine the locations for the system and cameras. Take lighting and angles of view into consideration and the number of cameras required.

    2.  Purchase wireless 2.4 GHz hidden cameras if you decide you need a security camera that does not show any wires and can transmit signals through walls and floors.

    3.  Use a wired surveillance system if your security cameras will need to remain in one position at all times.

    4.  Use a battery operated system if your cameras need to function should the electricity fail. Having a Battery backup or UPS is essential for any security camera system during a power failure.

    5. Do you want DVR or VCR recording, most people use DVR security camera systems for picture quality.

    Night Vision Camera

    Night Vision Camera

A hidden security camera placed outside your home and covering the main entry points is a good way to gather evidence of a potential burglar.  If you don’t hide the camera you run the risk of being burglarized without evidence.  It would be like not having any security system at all.  They can gain access to your home without detection.

If you hide the camera in a good place, you’ll be able to monitor a potential burglar with ease.  Even if a they gain access to your property there is a excellent chance that a recordings of the burgalry this can be used as evidence in a court.

As the old saying goes “a picture is worth a thousand words”. With the pictures from your hidden camera, this theif will spend plenty of time behind bars with more cameras.
